The colors help you tell them apart: off-white for 0.05µ, white for 0.3µ, light green for 1µ, pink for 3µ, brown for 5µ, light blue for 9µ, yellow for 12µ, green for 30µ, blue for 40µ, and ivory for 60µ. Use them wet or dry to put a razor edge on chisels, plane irons, knives, or to polish gemstones and metals. They cut consistently and last longer than regular sandpaper.
